Like most of you, my life has changed drastically since the start of this year. I went from selling in person at three or four events each week to sitting at home, staring at my television in stunned disbelief. As my “mini-break” turned into several months of shelter-in-place, I slowly came to realize that I had something precious and irreplaceable. Something I’d never had before, and only now at the terrible expense of so many lives. Time.
Many creative entrepreneurs were able to transition right away into new business ventures, but I, like many others, first turned to gardening. I think I needed some serious contact with Nature, “making” something as simple and essential as food, before I could proceed with creating art - which, by the way, is also a necessary part of my life. I have long wished for the time to design jewelry, as opposed to just making enough of it to get me through the next show. Time to paint and sculpt and learn new techniques, and to share what I learn with others. Now is that time.
Over the next few months I’ll be making changes and additions to the site as I learn all the capabilities herein. I hope to keep you engaged with not only my jewelry and art, but with information about the materials and processes involved in producing them as well.
